Alexander Stabinski Obtains Six-Figure Settlement for Injured Child

Alexander Stabinski, an associate with the firm, recently settled a personal injury case for a child who was injured while rollerblading near a chain link fence. The child caught his left forearm on the fence, causing a large laceration that required stitches. After several other law firms failed to generate any settlement offers, the clients came to Alexander Stabinski who was able to secure a significant settlement on the eve of trial.

Firm Supports Albany Medical Center Benefit

The firm is proud to once again serve as one of the sponsors for Light up the Night, the annual benefit for the Albany Medical Center Emergency Department. Rob Rausch, a partner in the firm, serves on the steering committee for the event.

The Albany Medical Center Emergency Department serves over 70,000 patients and 3,500 transfers annually, and is recognized as the region’s only state-designated Level 1 trauma center.

This year’s event will be held on Friday, July 13th, at Saratoga National Golf Club. Ticket information may be found at www.amc.edu/lightupthenight

Rob Rausch Acknowledged by Capital District Trial Lawyers Association

At the annual dinner of the Capital District Trial Lawyers’ Association, Robert Rausch was acknowledged and received a plaque in recognition and appreciation of his term as President of the Association.  Rob served as President of the CDTLA during 2011 and continues to participate on the Board in an advisory capacity.

On May 17, Maynard O’Connor Smith & Catalinotto participated in the CDPHP 2012 Workforce Team Challenge. The Workforce Team Challenge is an annual five kilometer (3.5 mile) road race/walk through downtown Albany in which many area businesses and offices participate. This year, a record 9,323 runners/walkers participated in the race, making up 448 teams.

As it has in years past, Team Maynard won the unofficial prize for the fastest law firm. It was a beautiful day for a run, and a wonderful time was had by all.
