Bruce has served as a trial attorney with the firm for more than 30 years, successfully defending hospitals and doctors in medical malpractice claims and representing plaintiffs in employment discrimination matters and personal injury cases. His practice areas also include employment and municipal law, products liability, and general litigation, with extensive working knowledge of the various levels of state and federal laws that govern employment claims, particularly those involving discrimination and sexual harassment.

Bruce has worked with many school districts and municipalities in the Capital Region and beyond. He lends a sensitive ear to his clients in an effort to protect their rights and advocate for them to achieve the relief sought.

He joined the firm in 1984 and became a partner in 1989.  He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.

A graduate of Cornell University, Bruce received his law degree from the University of South Carolina.  He is a member of the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations, the Defense Research Institute, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.  Recognized for his legal knowledge, Bruce is a frequent guest lecturer at Albany Law School.  In 2008 and again each year from 2010 – 2020 he was selected as a Super Lawyer, a listing of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
