An indefatigable litigator, Michael has been with the firm since 1992 and became a partner in 2001. Although he works out of our Saugerties office, he serves clients throughout much of the State of New York, primarily north of New York City. In addition to his 17 years of litigation experience handling the defense of medical malpractice and personal injury actions, Michael has extensive trial experience in the areas of municipal law, civil rights law, products liability, commercial law, general liability in both state and federal courts and litigation involving Native American tribes and sovereignty recognition. He has more than 14 years of extensive trial experience defending individuals charged with misdemeanors and felonies and also represents plaintiffs in personal injury cases.

Michael is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

He is a graduate of Siena College and earned his law degree from Touro Law School.

Other facts about Michael:

Michael is a member of the Albany County, Ulster County, New York State and American Bar Associations; the New York State Trial Lawyers Association; and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also a delegate to the Third Judicial District Judicial Convention and a member of the Town of Saugerties Republican Committee.

He also often lectures at high schools on the subject of criminal law and for insurance companies about auto accidents litigation.

When not vigorously representing clients, Michael enjoys skiing, bicycling, softball, and attending concerts and attends Yankees' games whenever possible.
