Rob joined Maynard, O'Connor, Smith, & Catalinotto in 1997 and was named a partner in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Law Clerk to Hon. Irad S. Ingraham, New York State Supreme Court Justice for Chenango and Otsego Counties. Through that experience, he gained extensive exposure to trial practice and the intricacies of New York State civil practice rules and regulations.

Rob concentrates his practice on representation of defendants in a wide variety of personal injury litigation matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, construction site litigation, medical malpractice, and municipal law. He is chair of the firm's appellate department, supervising a group of attorneys concentrating in appellate practice. His other practice areas include commercial litigation, civil rights, and employment law.

He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the U.S.

A graduate of LeMoyne College, Rob received his law degree from Albany Law School, where he continues to serve on the Executive Committee of the National Alumni Association.

Other facts about Rob:

Rob has handled complex trials and precedent-setting motions and appeals at all levels of state and federal courts and has also lectured and authored materials for use in many continuing legal education programs for attorneys.

He is currently the President of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association and is also a member of the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations. He has also been appointed to the New York State Bar Association Committee on Courts of Appellate Jurisdiction.

In addition, Rob is co-chair of Dancing in the Woods, a fundraiser for the Albany Medical Center Children's Cancer Center, and serves on the committee for Light up the Night, a fundraiser for the AMCH Emergency Department.  Rob also serves as a mentor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's "Team in Training."

An avid runner, Rob has completed five marathons.
