Adam Mandell Admitted to U.S. Supreme Court

On October 29, 2018, attorney Adam T. Mandell was admitted to the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Adam is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Included in his practice, Adam regularly defends municipalities in claims alleging violations of civil rights pursuant to 42 U.S.C. sec. 1983. This includes claims against municipal governments, law enforcement, corrections officers and prosecutors.

Similarly, in representing medical professionals and hospitals, Adam is adept in navigating the interplay of state medical malpractice claims, and pendent Section 1983 claims posed as “deliberate indifference to medical needs”, as commonly litigated in Federal Court.

Adam also has extensive experience litigating claims in Federal Courts brought by Native American people alleging sovereignty, violations of the Non-Intercourse Act and other related tribal sovereignty claims.

Adam, along with many of the other attorneys at Maynard O’Connor, regularly practice in the federal courts system, and understand the intricacies of Federal practice.
