We are pleased to announce that Karen A. Butler and Kelly M. Monroe have joined the firm as partners, effective October 1, 2019. Prior to joining Maynard, O’Connor, Karen and Kelly were partners at the Albany law firm of Thuillez, Ford, Gold, Butler & Monroe, LLP.
Karen combines more than twenty years’ experience as a critical care nurse with her skills as a practicing attorney. Her areas of practice include medical malpractice defense, professional misconduct, health law, and civil rights litigation, as well as actions against the licenses of professionals such as physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses. She is admitted to practice law in all the courts of the State of New York, in both the Northern and Southern Districts of New York and in the United States Supreme Court.
Kelly has been a trial attorney for over 13 years. He concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense, professional liability, personal injury, and general litigation, as well as actions against the licenses of professionals such as physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses. Kelly is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
The addition of Karen and Kelly expands Maynard, O’Connor to a team of 18 attorneys, who practice in a variety of legal fields.
