We were honored to participate in an event hosted at the Northern District of New York federal courthouse on June 9th commemorating the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.
As part of the program, local attorneys and judges were selected to read from the speeches, letters, and writings that helped shape the movement for American independence and ultimately led to the Declaration of Independence. Our own Rob Rausch had the privilege of portraying John Jay – New Yorker, early advocate for independence, a co-author of the Federalist Papers, and the first Chief Justice of the United States.
The program concluded with participants reading portions of the Declaration of Independence.
We were grateful to be included in this memorable commemoration.
