Rob Rausch successful in slip-and-fall trial

Rob Rausch was recently successful in obtaining a defense verdict at the trial of a slip-and-fall case in Orange County.  The plaintiff alleged various personal injuries after a fall in a convenience store, and claimed that the fall was due to a patch of water on the floor of the store.  During the trial, Rob presented evidence that the store did not create any dangerous conditions, that its employees were trained to regularly inspect and clean the aisles, and that they were not aware of any water on the ground before the fall.  The jury ultimately agreed, rendered a verdict in favor of the defendant, and concluded that the defendant was not negligent in its ownership and inspection of the store. This case had had a particularly long path through the legal system, interrupted by several unanticipated delays and complications, so the client was particularly relieved to finally achieve closure.
