Akim attended the State University of New York at Oswego, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science in 2019. Akim then received his Juris Doctorate’s from Albany Law School, graduating with honors in 2022.

Prior to joining the firm, Akim gained extensive experience in workers’ compensation and labor and employment issues. During his time in workers’ compensation, Akim developed skills relating directly to personal injury and general litigation.

While at law school, Akim served as a senator on the Student Bar Association, was a member of the law school Diversity Committee, and earned the EANS Project Award for Commitment to Excellence. He also served as a teaching assistant for Patricia Reyhan, a Contracts professor, and performed over 50+ hours of pro bono service working with the Immigration Law Clinic. While at SUNY Oswego, Akim received the Deans Writing Award.
